Creating with Ink and Watercolor with Roshni Robert

This workshop is all about combining the power of bold lines with expressive color. If you have ever felt that your watercolors come out just a little flat, or you love black and white line drawings but are craving a little more energy, this workshop is for you.

Roshni Robert will cover both watercolor and line drawing basics, and set the stage for feeling comfortable to experiment and combine both in your work. This workshop is particularly suited to anyone looking to explore a more illustrative style with their work. But just as good for anyone who loves working abstract!

Suggested materials

• Waterproof pen, such as Micron, Staedtler pigment liner, 
• Paper (140lb, all cotton paper will work best for this, but bring what you have. Sheets, block, pad, whatever.)
• Watercolors
• Brushes, medium round preferred
• Pencil (a hard pencil, 2H or 4H, but any will do!)
• Eraser

Optional

• India ink
• Pen with nib of your choice

About Roshni Robert

Roshni Robert is an artist and floral designer. She approaches painting and floral work in much the same way, always drawn first to color. She has favorites like everyone does, but the longer that she works with them, the more interested she becomes in odd pairings and seeing something work out unexpectedly.
