About

“Play touches and stimulates vitality, awakening the whole person- mind, body, intelligence,

and creativity.

— Viola Spolin

This workshop focuses on bringing our whole selves to the creative process through games and exercises that help us tap into our bodies and intuition. Improv is an empathy-based art form, first created by women to engage children and those on the margins. We will be making space for that empathy toward ourselves to show up in our work.

Suggested Materials

  • A journal (can also use your sketchbook if you don’t mind writing practices in your
  • sketchbook)
  • Your favorite writing implement
  • Any artistic supplies you feel most comfortable with!
