About
Online weekly two-hour sessions for three consecutive Mondays in December.
This virtual writing workshop meets once a week for three weeks and is designed to help you explore, deepen, or return to food-centered storytelling in a rich and meaningful way. Your ticket includes all three two-hour sessions, enticing prompts, and personalized feedback from a seasoned, supportive workshop facilitator. Whether you’re new to writing about food, returning to the page after some time away, or building momentum on a larger project, this workshop offers a creative container for reflection, memory, and sensory exploration. All genres and experience levels welcome—bring your appetite for good stories and delicious language.
This virtual workshop is designed to be collaborative and interactive, providing participants with an intentional burst of dedicated writing time and creative community. Zoom sessions for this workshop will be held:
Monday, December 8 // 4-6 PM PT
Monday, December 15 // 4-6 PM PT
Monday, December 22 // 4-6 PM PT
In times of grief, growth, and especially transition, food often becomes the anchor: the way we remember, the way we connect, the way we process what lives beyond our own language. It’s how we pass down stories without words—through spice jars, seed packets, heirloom tomatoes, and the fragrant rituals that fill a dining room. Food connects generations, connects us to the land around us, preserves traditions. Food helps us celebrate and honor the people, places, and flavor profiles that shape our individual and familial stories.
This December, join beloved DIVE facilitator Kerri Anne Stebbins for a one-time (for now) notebook-nourishing food-writing workshop designed to help you reflect on the year that’s been—and everything it’s stirred up or shaken loose. Hosted by Creative Fuel Collective, this delectable workshop invites you to write your way into the beautiful mess of memory, meaning, and community growing around the meals we make and the food we eat—honoring the recipes, roots, and remnants that nourish us.
For three consecutive Mondays in December we'll sample a cornucopia of storytelling recipes, writing together during class using curated, bespoke prompts Kerri designed specifically for this workshop and that she’ll customize further based on the overall composition of the group. We'll encourage one another and hold each other accountable to any writing goals we've set for ourselves within a supportive and inclusive space. There will be opportunities for sharing writing we’ve worked on outside of class, too.
Alongside our weekly gatherings, Kerri will send out bonus writing prompts and reflections to help keep your words flowing between sessions, and to help you grow (or maintain) a sustainable and generative writing practice.
This workshop will be capped to keep it feeling cozy and collaborative. Our writing groups are popular, so be sure to sign up early! If you want more info on future writing group dates, and to be on our writing group-specific mailing list, click here.

About Kerri Anne Stebbins
A fan of stories of all sizes and types, Kerri wrote her first play in 5th grade—an amusing adaptation of an R.L. Stine story—and won her first writing contest in 8th grade. The prize? $200 cash and a D.A.R.E. bear. Since that short-lived but thrilling literary fame she's centered her life on words, writing and devouring them in equal measure and at every opportunity. After majoring in English Literature in undergrad, Kerri dove into the business realm of writing; she's been a freelance writer and editor since 2004 and a book marketer for an independent publishing house since 2016. That she gets paid to help people tell their stories will never stop feeling like a dream. A published poet and artist with (arguably way too) many manuscripts in progress, Kerri delights in facilitating creativity and connection through her quarterly writing group for Creative Fuel Collective—DIVE. When she isn't writing, reading, or leading writing workshops, Kerri is most likely walking into cold water, giddily riding her bike, or painting next to an alpine lake.
